Sage green

This is just a digital painting experiment I did in Photoshop yesterday. Since getting my Wacom Cintiq I've been trying out different ways of working and this was really satisfying and fun. Unlike my usual process of different layers for each colour, I forced myself draw this whole thing on one layer. ONE!

Whooaaaa. ONE layer? Now THAT is impressive. Besides the fact that I’m crap at drawing in general, I don’t think I could let go of all that sweet, sweet control. ;) Nice work!

GOsh I thought it was an oil painting in the beginning and then wait a minute it looks almost digital and bam it was digital… this’d be so lovely printed on good paper…

Kristina, this looks great! I received the “bitch face” print in the mail meant as a present for a friend, and she LOVED it. Thanks so much!

That’s so cool! And it doesn’t look digital at all! I’ve been following you for four years (can it be this long?), and I still can’t believe how talented you are, Kris!
Kind wishes,
Antonia

ONE layer?! Not sure how you pulled that off since it must have been so hard to keep it all organized! This is lovely and amazing, though!

How did you do this! I have photoshop and am trying to figure out how to draw/paint on it. Did you draw the actual piece of art by hand and then scan it onto your computer or something? Please help!!!
