Endless winter

15 January 11

This was the first thing I drew back in December when I got my 27" imac. The novelty of having 12GB of RAM still hasn't worn off, I'm loving scanning drawings in at insane sizes and working super big. The hi-res of this ones is 4268 × 5424 pixels! Bigger is better.

hi! i love your illustrations and they look so great! as someone who does a lot of scanning for artwork i was just wondering what type of scanner you had since this looked great. I was also just curious as to what you do by hand and what you do on the computer. Thanks!

thank you!
I’ve got the Epson Perfection V33 4800dpi LED Photo Scanner – http://www.amazon.co.uk/Epson-Perfection-V33-4800dpi-Scanner/dp/B0043VLLVY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295889976&sr=8-2
it’s great, I’m really happy with it.
For this one, I just scanned in the sketch below and then worked on top of it in Photoshop using my graphics tablet.

There are a couple of posts that show my process here:
