Stationery with an e

12 September 10

No matter how old I am, the beginning of September means one thing - back to school stationery shopping! Our school-wide crazes went: elaborate pencil cases with a million compartments > desk organisers (I had a glittery purple one) > fluffy or feathery pens > millions of rubbers shaped like food or animals > pastel and glitter gel pens (which eventually got banned because everyone was handing in completely unreadable pale yellow or lilac sparkly homework...). What about you!?

Anyway, no longer being in education is no reason to miss out on an exciting supplies splurge, so I've put together a bunch of fun stationery for the (well, slightly) more grown up below. Now I'm attempting to exercise restraint!

I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of my love for stationary. I even enjoy organising the stationary cupboard at work and that is full of the most plain looking supplies.

I love that pencil sharpener desk tidy!

Love those MMMG pens! I just made my annual pilgrimage to Muji on Friday to replenish my pen supply before going back to uni, but I’m still in the market for a new planner/diary – wish someone would buy me the Mulberry one!

You know what, I think in the days of John Menzies (I used to get my school stationery on holidays in Scotland- I’d browse through the catalogue for weeks before) I actually may have had strawberry scented gel pens? I do believe so.

Totally love this post, I’m a sucker for stationery!
Too bad MMMG’s international order procedure is just not appealing… I think I’ll go to gmarket and scrounge meself some cool stuff. Might die of epilepsy though…

That multi compartment pencil case! I had one too and it had anime girls on the cover. But that gorgeous leather one would be the perfect substitute for sure ;) Nice and grown up.
