Offset festival

14 September 09

Last weekend I was in Hainault Forest shooting for Offset Festival, eating massive hotdogs and staying up most of the night editing photos. I haven't shot bands for absolutely ages, nor been to any other festivals this year and it was so much fun! The Futureheads headlined on the saturday and a hilarious/jolly time straight from 2005 was had by all. The festival is tiny in the best possible way, no massive stressful sprints from stage to stage between bands. Plus it's in London, so all the fun of a festival with the added bonus of going home to your comfy bed. Perfect!

You can see many MANY more photos here.

Concert photography always seems so difficult to me, but you did an amazing job with it! Also, I love the new layout.

Dang, the 5d really does amazing work in lowlight/concert conditions!

Also, the first photo of the singer from Good Shoes tooootally looks like a bloated Skeet Ulrich!

I think the couple in the tiger outfits look banging.

Kim replied over 13 years ago.

Ahh – I love that first picture due to the outfits :) The blonde girl reminds me of a young Drew Barrymore.

I was there but unfortunately didn’t get to see you in action! I didn’t enjoy the festival really, but I thought the best part was the vintage fair tent, hehe. I love all these shots, the atmosphere in them is really great! :)

Oh these are great. Honestly Kris, you make a good pro-photographer. I’m terrible at live shots and yet I do the photography thing full time – you should be proud. Get it! :)
BTW, I’m really into blogging these days and am drawing up a links list for my blog. Do you want me to link your blog address or krisatomic.com? Let me know.
Hope all is well, are you in Brighton yet? Ah, to live by the seaside! xx

PS – I got a new twitter (sarahvkane), sorry to switch about, but add me back! I find it to be my best way of communicating these days!

Tilde replied over 13 years ago.

These are wonderful-What kind of lens did you use??

sarah replied over 13 years ago.

Oops-this was already asked.. nevermind! haha

sarah replied over 13 years ago.

This looks like it would be so much fun!
And the weather looks like it was perfect.
I always wanted a leopard print coat like the girl in the first picture…it’s so trashy and glamorous at the same time.

Kate Fu replied over 13 years ago.

Oooh you make me wish I had a lovely camera like yours, although it’d definitely be wasted on me!
That looks like loads of fun.
And I couldn’t help noticing that last girl’s dress, even though it looks so glam, is actually from Dorothy Perkins ;p
Still loving your blog mate, hope all’s well. x
