What a tourist

06 October 09

If you've been following me on twitter you might know that I moved to Brighton a couple of weeks ago. I think I can legitimately take cheesy touristy photos of the pier, seagulls and other seaside paraphernalia for at least another week, right? I've never lived by the coast before and the light was so great, I couldn't resist!

Oh man. I’m so jealous! I lived at the coast for 3 1/2 years and now that I’ve moved away, it seems like everyone I know is moving to some coast or another. I really miss it… look forward to living vicariously through your photos!

Gah, such lovely photos! I’m visiting Brighton in November for a uni open day and now I really can’t wait.

When the result looks like this you’re Definitely allowed to take as many cheesy touristy photos as you’d like! I love that first one.

I think nearly all coastal towns are really photogenic. I love them! Although in winter they’re freezing!

Kim replied almost 11 years ago.

That’s totally true on all accounts! x

God Brighton is such a beautiful city. And you capture it beautifully.

They’re beautiful photos. I think the fact that you live there means you’re a “real” photographer and not just a tourist! So keep taking photos for as long as you want! ;)

I love Brighton. In a previous life I was a Londoner for 7 yrs and we had a few Brighton weekends. My boyfriend and I once stayed at this wonderfully tacky Brighton hotel. It had golden flamingo taps in the bath and pink marble everywhere. I love it there, especially the pier and the pavillion. It’s so exotic to me. Well, I am a proper tourist!

Sofia replied almost 11 years ago.

That hotel sounds amazing! I haven’t been to the Pavilion yet actually, must do that soon! x

I’ve lived in Brighton for a year now and I still like taking clich√© photos and doing all the touristy things. How are you liking living here so far?

Vicky replied almost 11 years ago.

It’s a pretty photogenic place, to be fair! I really like it here so far. It’s so different to london! I didn’t really expect that. But in a good way! x
