This Will Kill That
15 August 09
I meant to post about my degree show This Will Kill That straight after it happened in July, but that night I got terribly ill and spent the next few days in bed with what ended up being swine flu. So I got a bit sidetracked and forgot all about it. But better late than never, some pictures of the private view and a tiny sample of the work on show. The space was really great, an old office building I think? It was huge, room after room and all exposed brick and a bit dungeon like. Pretty shabby, but in a good way.

Oh my! Kris! Not half bad, eh?
Got to say, your work really does stand out. I promise I’m not just being nice, it has a lovely delicate feminism and evokes such a bright sense of childhood.
My other favourite would be the skull deer, I’d buy that.
Your show location was brilliant – I’m jealous. We just exhibited in the college and as nice as LCC is (light wise), it was pretty bland.
Well done my dear. x

Wow, I really love this! That, is beautiful. I really like the old vintage background, it is so much more beautiful than a dull art gallery wall.

Great job, and glad you’re better! Out of curiosity, what scale is Clara Lacy’s work? I can’t tell if that sculpture is huge or teeny tiny.

That location is so perfect for a gallery space for something like this. Amazing. Like a little treasure hunt, or maybe a cave-hunt..!
