I've been having fun painting plates and things. It's really satisfying when it's going well and extremely frustrating when your brush strokes go wobbly and you spend twice as much time wiping paint off than putting it on. The paint promises permanence and dishwasherability, so these could be used for eating and everything. I probably should test those claims first though! I'm going to be selling these and a variety of other ceramics, badges, prints, originals etc in my etsy shop in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know closer to the time.
Now is the time for requests if there is anything specific you think I should sell!

Those are amazing! I love the design on each of them; they’d be perfect to hang in a brightly colored kitchen or a children’s plates (I’d have been so happy to have them when I was younger)

Hey! Really neat idea! I love the plates. You should make paper dolls of yourself sometime! I think that would be fun to see.

Love these! I’d definitely buy some. I’m a sucker for hand-painted homewares. Especially cups/mugs! hint hint

Those are so funky. I like them a lot. I know it’s not ceramic but a calendar would be a great thing to sell especially as it’s coming up for the end of the year.

Wow, those are beautiful. I would want an entire set! Or maybe a dessert set? With smaller plates and teacups, of course!
A calendar sounds like a really neat idea as well.

you should do a plate-portrait of your kitten, like a kris version of the plates in umbridge’s office
also the cupcakes and candles you did a while ago would look awesome!

hahaha that is an amazing idea! I just might do it! x

Oh, dang. These are phenomenal. At the risk of always inserting some mention of trains in every comment that I post, I think one of a steam locomotive would be rather grand! A girl with a conductor hat on? I see grand possibilities. Plus, the whole train thing is very Hogwartsian (making up terminology!), so I think tons of people would go wild over it. Wait wait wait – imagine a train on a tea cup, where the steam from the tea would be like, the steam coming out of the steam thing on the train. . .I don’t know the anatomy of a train, but I’m sure you know what I’m saying.
OK, I’m done with my rambling ideas!

Those are really, extraordinarily beautiful! Did you know about the dish-design contest going on right now (sponsored by Domino Magazine and Corelle)? I know it wouldn’t be anywhere near as great as having handpainted ones, but I’m sure you could knock the socks off of the competition, easily.

If you are taking requests, Kris…how about just giving up some of that talent of your’s, wrapping it up in a stylish little package, and sending it my way? C’mon! You know you could! Because clearly you have SCADS OF TALENT to share! Pretty please? Just a little?
Kris, these are fabulous! I won’t be able to say anything that hasn’t already been said by anyone else here but still…FANTASTIC! They made me smile from the inside out! :)

a few months ago, you made a post about a zine you did for uni; an a-z project. i’d like to see a copy of that in your shop, or just a postcard set of the a-zs – http://www.krisatomic.com/blog/?p=124#comments
i know a lovely poet, laura, who’s just released a cd/zine of her poetry and a bit of artwork. it’d be lovely if you did something similar, except i guess without the poetry? a bit of an ‘introduction to kris’, a catalogue of the many artistic things you’ve done (: x
