Coincidentally, I gave myself a paper cut today. Ouch!

20 November 07

I was just going to post about these ace paper garlands and decorative hanging thingies from RE-found objects, but then procrastination took hold and I was all over the internets looking at paper things.

I could never talk about paper art without mentioning Peter Callesen first and foremost. His work is amazing and magical and incredible and beautiful. I love it.

Tord Boontje does brilliant things with paper (and other materials, I cheated a bit here!). His book is definitely on my christmas list.

And I found an artist I hadn't seen before, Chris Natrop. I really like the shadows his cutouts make:

There is also Rob Ryan but I posted about him already :)
And last but not least, some cute zig zag city cards from Muji:

I love those Mexican banner things…I have a plastic one with Virgin Mary designs on every panel.

Also, I’ve just found out about this artist too, her work is so amazingly lovely

wow, fantastic. I’m such a nerd for paper things! Love those Muji cards – my mum bought the new york one for me when she took me there in the summer! xx

We bought some paper snowflakes nearly identical to those ones in the first photos. :) They’re so lovely in real life. :D
