Shoop Shoop Shop

The shop is back! With all the travelling I did last year it was closed for ages, but I do solemnly swear that it’s now here to stay.

Since I’m on a redesign kick, I gave the shop a spruce up to match the new blog layout and make it a bit prettier. I’ve also added 3 new prints that have been the most requested (Unusually Modest Mermaid, Ms Valentine and Y U NO) and restocked the Chronic Bitchface prints!

Taking Liberties

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

New season Liberty fabrics are always exciting and Spring/Summer 2011 especially so, because the 50 (50!!!) new designs took inspiration from children’s illustrators. So I picked a few of my favourite prints and put them back into a drawing of some dresses I’d like to be wearing this summer. Sadly my sewing skills never progressed beyond the simplest of home furnishings (damn you year 11 D&T lessons, all I can make are stupid cushions and wallhangings. What use are wallhangings to me?!), so as drawings they are destined to stay.

In the illustration above I used (patterns not drawn by me!):

Sally Haysom’s Princess Emerald

Jane Ray’s David Joe

Quentin Blake inspired Charlie’s Paisley

and Asami Sayo.

Aren’t they lovely?
