The Wallace Collection

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

I visited The Wallace Collection for the first time on thursday and boy am I sorry that I haven’t been before. Boucher’s Madame de Pompadour and Fragonard’s The Swing are obvious highlights, but just walking around Hertford House is a joy. There’s a small but perfectly formed Watteau exhibition on until the 5th of June too. If you haven’t been, you must go, it’s free!

Tim Walker, Pictures

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

I went to the Tim Walker exhibition at The Design Museum some time in september, but forgot all about the photos until just now. It was fantastic though! I liked seeing the sketchbooks and scrapbooks the most, I’m a nosy parker so I always like looking at other people’s ideas and references. There were bits of sets and props and that great big model of a camera in the middle of the room too. Such a great exhibition, I do love The Design Museum.

There’s an mp3 interview with Tim Walker about the exhibition that’s quite interesting here and all about the pastel cats (my favourite!) here.
