Some time last year I was commissioned to do rough concept art for a pitch by DDB. It was for a US youth anti-drugs campaign called Above The Influence and the main gist of the animated ad was about “following your (personified, converse-wearing) heart” and kids not being pressured into doing stuff. A bit of a departure from the kind of thing I usually do, but it’s always fun to try something different. I still don’t know if the ad ever got made, but it was an age ago so I’m finally allowed to post the images. e.t.a Yelena just found it, so there’s the actual ad if you want to see it! No idea who did the artwork for it, but it ended up really cute.

i love the multi-landmark skyline, very clever! you do so much with so little (your “rough concept art” is better than most finished things i see around). totally super.

Great series! I like how the images really work on their own, too, even without the ad context.

Kristina, I love this… this is such a wonderful series. I think you should turn this into some sort of series for an art gallery showing! Well, you know if it weren’t out of your normal range of things, and commissioned by someone else. But hey, I’m glad commercial and non-profit entities are using your talents for wonderful, good causes!!!

Oh Wow I love your interpretation of the project. I would love to see this version as the animated commercial.

It’s so nice to see your cute illustration can actually move! Haha. I love it! Short, simple & the fact that there is Paris in it. Maybe because I recently watched woody allen’s midnight in Paris. x

My last post is inspired in your posts of Paris. I wanted to describe my trip to Copenhagen as you did with Paris.
