I was so happy to see you still had some Iceland photos in store for us! :) The ice on the hay(?) and the one directly below that are my absolute favorites.

  3. gorgeous shots! A friend of mine is currently in iceland on her honeymoon and it makes me want to visit. When she first told me this, I instantly thought of all ice and snow (as do most people I guess) but when I looked at her photos and yours, it definitely opened up my eyes and changed my perspective.

The light in your photos is always so gorgeous Kris. How DO you do it? I definitely need to visit Iceland with Alex at some point soon, we’ve been talking about it for years. On my side mostly for the knitwear.

You honestly take the most beautiful pictures!
Do you doing anything extra like use a filter, post processing, HDR etc, or primarily just a really pretty lens and camera?
(I’m sure you get this question all the time!)

Yes, I was curious about the filter as well. I’m new (self-teaching) to photography and I am captivated by the warmth in your shots.

I edit in Lightroom, generally tweaking exposure/brightness/colour balance. No filters, definitely no HDR (hate it!). I was using a 50mm 1.4 for these, which shoots quite dull compared to my new 50mm 1.2, so I’d say it’s in the post processing rather than the camera/lens.

Let me know if you have any other questions! x

Takes me back… makes me sad. I wish I could go back soon. Instead, we are going to another volcanic Island in the opposite direction (Hawaii)…

Blue waters, there, but not in the same way. I’m so glad you got to see the few stands of pines on the Island… Makes me wish the Vikings hadn’t been so crazy with cutting trees down. LOL.

Did you know that fissure in your photos is one of the clearest, deepest places to go scubadiving (safely) in fresh water in the world?

    Gorgeous photos as usual, Kristina!

Your photographs are just beautiful. Because of them, I NEED to visit Iceland now. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work – makes my very happy. My favourites: the first one for the mood, emotion and memories it evokes – and the second because of the composition and especially the colours.

Happy first day of Summer =)

I always love your Iceland photographs :) It’s on my list of countries I must visit!

Did you knit those mittens/gloves/fingerless mitts & hat in the first photo? I was really excited that you were interested in knitting a while back, did you ever start making things? Although I suppose summer isn’t the best time for wooly crafts I’m so addicted I’m at it all times of the year :D If you ever need help or have any knitterly questions I’d be glad to help!
