Here she is!

August 1st, 2008

Her name is Matilda and she won’t keep still for more than a second, so taking photos of her is a bit of a challenge. She’s a Persian. Her favourite hobby is chewing on electrical cords and biting me when I’m grooming her. She’s getting her first bath today! I’m scared.

i swear long-haired cats bite more. my family always had short-haired cats, i got a long haired one and he’s a real biter. mine likes chewing electrical cords too. chewed right through my ibook cable (unplugged fortunately, but cost £60 to replace) and ruined two pairs of nice headphones.

    matilda is so lovely though!

Aw, she’s just adorable! I love the name Matilda, too; it brings back happy childhood memories of the Roald Dahl book of the same name. :)

Good luck with the kitty bath – hopefully you’ll get through unharmed. :)

Whoa, my dear! It is certainly hard to take pictures of animals, especially cats!
This might be quite weird, but would you please take pictures of Russian streets and children? I was reading Dostoevsky again and then I jumped from the bed when I remembered that you were in that beautiful country at the moment.

Although you have already heard it before, you’re so inspirational!

Aside from the fact that kittens are ADORABLE, you’re doing the right thing getting her at a young age. I trained my gato from the get-go and– well, he still hates baths, but he purrs when I clip his nails and loves to be brushed! I don’t think bathing ever gets easy, although having someone else to do the dirty work while you gently rub shampoo on their bodies really helps, hehe!
