Amy Borrell’s perfect pastels

February 23rd, 2011

I recently came across Melbourne designer and illustrator Amy Borrell’s delightful drawings and I’m totally entranced. Her use of soft pastel colours is perfect! The above sweet shop painting is particularly brutal, as I’ve recently given up sugar. Sweets, waaaaah!

Check out her blog and shop too, I think the Bird Eggs of Australia print is calling my name. There’s just something about those speckled eggs!

I had to point out… The saffron bottle should not be full. If that were a 2 oz jar it would cost 630 USD to fill it.

Otherwise, this is a very nice image.
