I used to be a bit ‘meh’ about yellow until my usually style-clueless boyfriend (there’s a reason he only wears black..) got me to try wearing it and it actually suits me. Now just to get over my fear of bright colours!

I can’t wear it anywhere near my face because it makes me look really ill :( So it’s bottoms and socks for me! x

Ah, your pictures make yellow look SO wearable! I especially love those J. Crew shorts in the last picture. Did you notice that ASOS have got their models twirling around in a lot of their pictures now? It makes me want to buy lots of long, full skirts!

The lady wearing bright orange pants (http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5006/5369886752_0b4049d753_o.jpg) looks so good surrounded by all those muted colors.

I <3 yellow and orange (yellow looks great with candy blue & orange looks great with colours like steely blue and purple). Also that Julia Eilenberger dress is beautiful!

That last J Crew picture is spot on. I love her lipstick, though I could never pull it off.

I agree. Yellow and golds and mustards are such an empowering color in the dead of winter. It reminds us that golden light of spring and summer are just around the corner (hopefully).
J. Crew’s spring catalog makes me sick with desire. Those shorts…

Very nice collection of pictures! I think it looks great with brunette hair!

You make me reconsider my feelings about yellow/orange. Normally I can’t stand the colors, with the exception of a mustard yellow or sunsetty orange, but this post is nothin’ short of awesome.

Love the yellow color and that makes me buy a t-shirt for the start…and a sunflower:), maybe something green an blue…a lot of colors..!!
Love your post.

I love both colors, great selection! The J.Crew outfit is amazing!

Quelle horreur, il manque un bras à l’avant dernière photo!
Sinon, sans rire, j’aime beaucoup ta sélection, tu as réussi à me faire aimer ces couleurs!

I must say, I think I do quite like yellow, but then I like most colours. Somehow it has a way of creeping into my life, first with my iPod, and then some karen walker jewellry and a drink bottle this week.
But I think for me, it’s gots to be the right yellow. Like that ‘dusty’ yellow, which is the the last yellow in the second row…
Hmmm, I think I should make something really yellow now. Thanks :D

I just love yellow and orange! I love all bright colours but my latest colour obsession is definitely a bright mustard yellow. I keep painting with it and my wardrobe is starting to look a little yellow
:)

I love it! I actually have been a little obsessed with these yellows and oranges also. I’m really in love with anything rust.

Mustard is my all-time FAVOURITE colour.
And oh how I wish for gorgeous mustard pieces =(
But they prove too elusive for me to find!!! Loved this post, and all the pieces you’ve shared with us :)

Interesting outfits and color schemes. I do not like it so much. I am a bit conservative. There is also a book that I am able to turn over the pages for hours and look at the clothes in it. I do not notice it taken the time to slip away. Who may be interested, here is the link to the cover. Authors: Piras – Roetzel
