Clutch menagerie

These hilarious animal clutches are by TsuruBride and I want the whole set. Look at their little faces! Pure genius.

Handsome horsey

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

I can’t remember the last time I wore any kind of swimwear, but these marvelous handmade swimsuits by We Are Handsome are making me reconsider my lack of lycra. My favourite is the horse one above, which is 50% Lloyds TSB and 50% Chloe ss ’01 (Stella’s most fun collection, surely) which is kind of 100% brilliant. Not sure if I would let my £152 swimsuit touch chlorine or sea water, but as outerwear it could be pretty fierce. With bottoms though, this isn’t lookbook.

(from style.com) see also the horsey topshop jumper that it heavily inspired several years later.

How to spend it indeed

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Can’t believe I only just saw these, but I assisted on this shoot for How To Spend It all the way back in December and completely missed the issue when it came out. I think it might be my favourite set of images from my stylist’s assistant days, I’m in love with everything (The McQueen! The Givenchy! The silver Burberry coat! Anastasia’s face!).

The Seated Beauty

Friday, April 16th, 2010

I don’t usually post whole mag editorials but whatever, this is so beautiful that I will make an exception. It’s Natalia Vodianova styled by Nicoletta Santoro and photographed by Paolo Roversi for Vogue China’s may issue. LOVE.

Oh man, J.Crew really know how to make a catalogue don’t they? This is the new one for April and I’m digging it. Magdalena Frackowiak looks adorable and I’m now overcome with the desire to buy cashmere cardigans in colours that I rationally know will look terrible on me. Amazing work basically selling basics!
